Tanja

Tanja Groos is a Canadian artist who creates with oil paint, acrylic paint, mixed media and digital tools. She creates paintings that often merge human forms with active spaces, and look at nature in a colourful way. Soft, delicious gradient washes of colours coalescing with raucous textures are seen in many of her pieces.

An artist, designer, and traveller, Tanja has had group art exhibitions in Ontario and New York, and her art is owned in private collections in both the USA and Canada. Collectors include world-famous salsa dancer and choreographer Burju Perez. Her art has won awards and has been published. (Get the newsletter for notice of upcoming exhibitions.)

Tanja also has more than 15 years of corporate and digital creative design achievements. Her graphic design work has won places in nation-wide designers’ showcases and has been published. An Entrepreneurial Recognition Award was bestowed upon Tanja by the Government of Canada. Tanja’s experience has been deepened by her leadership in and support of several charities and not-for-profit organizations.

Tanja has spent time in 20 countries and continues to absorb creative inspiration and cultural perspective through travel. Some of her adventures include hang gliding in the German Alps, mountain-view yoga in Argentina, ceramics classes in Greece, scuba diving in Barbados, improvisational experiential dance in Greece, kayaking in the Bahamas, sand-boarding in Chile, caving in Slovenia, camel riding in Morocco, rock climbing in the USA, and skydiving in Canada.
